Act I The gods of fate

The God of fate is Zeus Moiragetes. He has three helpers, all godesses known as the Moirai.

Clotho who when a mortal is concieved, attemps to spin out a thread of life, and usually succeeds in the task.

Lachesis, then pulls out the thread to it’s maximum length, taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of each individual mortal

Aisa, is able to cut the thead short after consideration of the actions of each mortal according to the counsel of the gods.

It was not an inflexible fate; Zeus, if he chose, had the power of saving even those who were on the cusp of being condemned.
