Montauban is the site of The Black Prince’s first meeting with the lords of Occitan.
The prince must have taking a liking to Montauban. The celler underneath the the museum is know as ” La Halle de le Prince Noir.” Its date of construction is uncertain. The English had possession of Montauban for fifty years, but the prince died relatively young.
