I have always been interested in “History”. However in my attempts to discover more about how Ximene might have thought and the forces the 14th century would have brought to bear on her, I have come to mistrust mainstream history.

I was taught that a study of past events might help us understand the full implications of decisions we make today. That may well be true but only if the version of past events made available to us is accurate.
