If the Genealogical trails used to give the “right to rule” do indeed lead back to Cleopatra then another range of opportunities present themselves. Cleopatra was descended from Alexander, who was accepted in Egypt as a descendant of the Egyptian gods. Is this, rather than a descent from Jesus the basis of claims to have the “right to rule”?
