Lines of the sun

carte-from-internet

During this third visit to the Rennes area I immediately set out to explore in detail the line from brenac to the northen ‘Target”. I often started my walks early in the morning, I became quickly aware that I was following a line which came very close to the angle of the early morning sun.

The Feast Of Mary Magdelene

I had with me several folders full of notes some of which gave reference to angles of the sun.

For a long time the diagram above was the best display of the Lincoln pentacle available to me. At the top two lines showing the sunrise at Rennes I confirmed now that this line was parallel, at least as closely as I could discern with the line from Brenac I was following.

The second line shows the author claimed that on the 22 August, when seen from Rennes the sun rises over Blanchfort, another point on the Lincoln pentacle. The 22nd august is the feast day of Mary Magdelene and the church at Rennes is dedicated to her. This diagram now re-introduced me to the concept that the rising of the sun on the summer solstice might have some significance. but what significance?

\
sunrise-from-rennes My notes showed that David Williams as always sceptical but objective also bought into this argument. Until this hurried search through my notes I had I had almost forgotton that David had disproved this theory by taking photographs of the sunrise on both days.

Davids photograph now shouted at me that the Brenac line I was following was indeed on or very close to the line of the summer solstice sunrise! I resolve immediately to take my own photographs of the sunrise but this time from Brenac.

Lines Of The sun

image28-sun-triumph How the line I was following. which was derived from a hypothetic study of a pentacle based navigation system could be linked in with angles of the sum I could not imagine however my interest was aroused and it reminded me that during my various visits to France I had come across two unusual phenomena.

Twice a year, in Late May and early August, when viewed from the middle of the Champs Elysee in Paris, the Sun sets between the two pillars of the Arc de Triomphe.

champs-elesee The arc lies, as was shown in the “devils line” in the line from Dunkerque To Barcelona . But the reason for the sunset phenomena is because Paris was laid out to allow this to happen.

Monsegur

This line does not pass along the paris meridien which is shown running across the lower right but runs from the Louvre to “La Defence” the new commercial centre which can here be seen in the distance.

approach-to-monsegur The second phenomena is concerned with the Château Monsegur. Yes the same Monsegur which was on one of the alignments from the navigation system.

Monsegur was the setting of the final defeat of the Cathars at the end of the Albigensian Crusade. Approaching it from the east it seems improbable that it ever could be captured, sat as it is, on top of its pillar of rock.

I had visited Monsegur during my first visit to the area, because in Rennes I had been told that one possible source for the treasure of Rennes was not the Visigothic treasure but Cathar treasure smuggled out during the last days of the siege.

On the day of the summer solstice the first rays of the sun pass directly through the arrow slits and out again through arrow slits on the other side

The windows are aligned to make this possible.

15-illumination-of-grotto-6-15 To observe this phenomenon it is necessary to climb Monsegur the previous the previous evening and camp on top of the mountain overnight.

Even on mid summers day it can be cold but the experience makes it worthwhile.

Other Sun Alignments

stonehenge-solstice of course there are many examples of sun alignments being used to confirm directions. I remembered visits to burial mounds in Carnac, Brittany and of course Stonehenge which prove how widely used solar alignments were.

This introduced another element into my study of the Brenac Line.

Could it possibly be that sun alignments could play a part in offering a solution to finding Sauniers treasure or solving the puzzle at Brenac?.

The 666 was almost certainly the paris meridian but there was also 32, 34, 36 and 66. Could they be related to angles of the sun?

Map Maker sun clock

summer-solstice I purchased an application called “Map Maker Sun Clock” which enable the angles of sunrise on any day of the year anywhere in the world to be identified.

This first diagram shows the summer solstice.

An accurate reading is relatively difficult, but here is my best shot 34 degrees north of east!

winter-solstice This second screenshot shows the winter solstice 32 degrees south of east. The angle between the two lines is therefore 66 degrees! Numbers which emerged from the Numerology puzzle.

A quick check of the lines derived from the pentagrams confirmed that these angles described the angles of the lines to the target.

The Solstice

first-light I desperately wanted to confirm all this by taking my own measurements and photographs.

On the summer solstice, before first light, I was outside Brenac church, equipment at the ready.

skyline It rained. Thick clouds shouded the hills around Brenac. As the dawn broke, on that particular morning, the sun could have been anywhere!

By now I believed that at Brenac the sun would rise on the solace at 34 degrees but I had no real proof!

directional

As I stood there watching the sum attempt to break through I convinced my self that the angle probably was 34 degrees

sine-on-rennes The whole experience played on my mind was what was seeing a reproduction of the paintings on the roof of the church the clouds and the rays descending.

All that was missing was the eye of providence. I pulled an US dollar bill from my pocket. The eye of providence was here after all.

brenac-lamb Here is is one of the paintings from the roof of the church for comparison. Weird!

Later in the day in a bar which serves as the Quillan rugby team headquarters I felt much better. I realised however that I had not quite finished with the Church at Brenac.

  1. Working on it Josh. But you are right I did see the summer solstice. The details will be given under “discoveries”.
